Since our establishment in 2016, we have supported small-scale developments, major infrastructure projects, industrial operations, regional environmental strategies, and international compliance initiatives.

Case Studies

Our key aim with respect to the environmental and social issues arising from with CSP plants, is to appropriately reduce negative and harmful impacts on people and the environment and enhance the positive impacts through effective consultation with the locally community, during both construction and operation phases.

ZEST WEG GROUP AFRICA (PTY) LTD

The role of KMFE Environmental was to ensure environmental impacts are identified in all the Zest WEG operations in South Africa to assist with the process of acquiring ISO 14001 certification. KMFE Environmental was guided by the conditions of the EMPr in understanding the impacts related to their operations and the assessment thereof.

Ezee Tile Adhesive Facility

KMFE Environmental was approached by Ezee Tile Adhesive Manufacturers (Pty) Ltd to apply for environmental authorisation from the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD) for a proposed Ezee Tile Adhesive Facility to be constructed on both Erf 178 and 179 in Vulcania Extension 2 Township, Brakpan, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (Figure 1), as required by South Africa’s environmental legislation.

CTM Richmond Park Showroom

 

Environmental Control Officer (ECO) services for the CTM Richmond Park Showroom during the construction phase only. The role of the ECO was to ensure compliance with the conditions of the environmental authorisation and the Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) by the contractor during the construction phase of the CTM Richmond Park Showroom. Six audit reports were prepared from monthly visits. These reports were submitted to the Western Cape Government: Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning.
